What is Horary?

The term “Horary “ can be exemplified by “Question of the hour” and is an ancient tool that
has been used for centuries, dating as far back as   the 3rd millennium BC. However,
Babylonian astrology is the earliest recorded organized system of astrology.
The process of horary starts with a specific question of the exact time of the hour . The
Querent (person asking the question) is ruled by the sign rising over the eastern horizon, as
well as the ruling planet. Alongside this , the Moon as a co significator is carefully analysed.
The “Quesited” (The thing asked about) will also be taken into consideration and all depends
on the subject area, as to which house out of the 12 will be considered.
Horary then looks into specific planetary aspects.as well as the signs themselves, angles
which they may fall on, as well as any fixed stars, malefic or benefec planets to garner an
overall conclusion.

Much of my own studies are based on  seventeenth-century astrologer William Lilly and his
Christian Astrology books, as well as Bonatti, Italian mathematician, astronomer and
astrologer, from 13th century. I have also studied many of the Arabian texts, as well as
Ptolemy , Julius Firmicus Maternus, and Abu Ma’shar al-Balkhi.
I am a certified traditional and horary astrologer and have studied with White Eagle , Sue
Ward, and Sharon Knight.
